Information for new members and Joining the Tri- state Grotto
The Tri-State Grotto is a local group of folks with a passion for caves. We are a combination outing club and conservation club. Members enjoy visiting and exploring caves, in fact most grotto sponsored trips are purely recreational. We recognize however that caves are a fragile environment and are as a group involved in many conservation and restoration projects. Tri-State and it's members are involved in a number of cave related activities throughout the year. The Grotto sponsors cave trips, offers training, engages in fund raising, publishes a monthly newsletter, and even throws a few parties. The best way to join the Tri- state Grotto.
The best way to join and find out what the Tri- state Grotto does is to attend one of it's meetings. The membership fee is $12.00 per year and it includes a subscription to The Deaddog Dispatch, the Grottos monthly newsletter. Payments of dues can be made at monthly meetings or they can be sent to
