TSG Field House


Lodging Rules:

- To stay at the Field House, YOU MUST comply with one of the following:

1. Be a 'Key Holder', OR
2. Be accompanied by a 'Key Holder'.
(See requirements under 'Membership Fees', below).

Membership Fees: Membership: Field House access; (current date through January 31, 2005).
- Each applicant must pay $125 * to be a 'Key Holder' get key for 'Free' access.
(a) Applications: (see form below) Mail to Chuck Stanley, see address below.
(b) Applicants must belong to at least one of the following Grottos: Tri-State Grotto, Front
Royal Grotto, Frederick Grotto, or Franklin County Grotto.

  1. Direct family members are 'Free', i.e. (spouse or one (1) partner, and related {unmarried} children). You may have no more than three guests per weekend. Larger groups require prior permission from the Management Committee.
  2. 'Guests' of a "Key Holder' shall pay a fee (as listed below).

Fees: (Per Night)
$3.00 each = Guests
$2.00 each = Groups: 10 or more, within the house or on the property (upon approval from one 'Committee Member' and confirmed by Bob Bennett.

General Rules:
AS SOON AS YOU ARRIVE at the house, you MUST register and, unless you have a Field House membership, PAY THE FEE.
Be sure to follow the "Open-Up / Shutdown Procedures" and "Cleanup Checklist" posted by the kitchen door.
DO NOT smoke inside the Field House or use open flame in the Field House or outbuildings.
Approved for use:
a) Contained fuel / heat source (i.e.: Kerosene heater).
b) Outside fire pit / fire-ring.
No pets allowed on the Field House property.
STAY OFF the roof of the house and the outbuildings.
DO NOT drive beyond the Field House Property. Do not drive off the roads, block any roads or use any firearms anywhere in the Field House area.
Please do not STORE any PERSONAL BELONGINGS at the house BETWEEN visits or leave them in the first floor area DURING visits. If the bedrooms are full, you may sleep downstairs AT YOUR OWN RISK but do NOT complain or interfere when others use the downstairs rooms for their intended purposes.
BE CONSIDERATE. For example, when others are trying to sleep, keep noise to a minimum (everywhere, but ESPECIALLY in the bedrooms).
Responsibilities of all persons using the house:
  1. You have an Obligation to see that you, your guests and others adhere to all house rules.
  2. You are financially responsible if you or your guest(s) damage the house, its outbuildings, or its grounds.
  3. Please report (to the Field House Management Committee) anyone who disregards the house rules or who acts in a manner detrimental to the reputation of cavers in the area.
  4. You may have no more than three guests per weekend. Larger groups require prior permission from the Management Committee.
  5. Membership privileges may be transferred only by Committee approval.
  6. Refund Policy: None
  7. Please do your utmost to further good relations with local residents. IN PARTICULAR, you must get cave owners' permission to enter caves.
  8. You may NOT enter any cave closed for conservation or other reasons.
  9. Suspension of House Use Privileges - ANY violation of the house rules and policies may be deemed cause for suspending ALL your house use privileges. Furthermore, actions not specifically mentioned herein, yet detrimental to the good of the house or of caving, may be cause for suspension; and the Field House Committee reserves the right of suspension for any cause.
